This month, Zippy tells us about the diverse and enthralling wildlife assossiated with motorcycles.......
THE WONDERFUL WORLD of the CB250N
Many people feel that the internal combustion Engine and Nature are
impossible to reconcile ,however with a little bit of work /neglect it is
possible to make your bike into a rolling nature reserve.
This superdream may seem perfectly normal but look closer... AND....
A split in the seat cover creates the perfect conditions for a beautiful
moss garden.
BUT that is not all ! With further Intensive watering a habitat suitable
for the rare Guatimalan Rust jumping spider can be made:-
Note the attractive Lichens on the crankcase, see how the spider has
evolved to be perfectly camouflaged against the rusty back mudguard.......so it may surprise its prey more easily.
They provide food for reindeer in the winter. Though no actual reindeer appear for some reason.....
Here we see the burrow of the rare Motad's Mole who makes his home In
hollow exhaust manifolds,He isnt home at this time of year ,he migrates to
North Africa.....
Oportunities to encourage wild life are not limited to the externals
alone:- Here a Common Camchain Catapilar emerges Note its huge strength
for its size, as it rips the cylinder block off its studs.
Obviously to make such a motorised safari park takes time(7 years parked
in someones front garden)
and this can be discouraging .So a begineer may want to start with a
Russian Ural motor bike:-
Inside the sealed Electronic Ignition module the factory fit a Siberian
Suicidal Saboteur Bug:- It has Evolved to walk over vital electronic
circuitry if the bike moves too fast. This stops the bike and although the
mother dies it allows the bugs young to jump on board.
It also means the factory dont have to improve the crap brakes.
See if you can find a motad's mole. But kids don't look up exhausts when
the engine is running as it tastes bad and you may die,.
GOOD HUNTING

Love To ALL
